Biometric Login for Apps

| Introduction

Biometric login is introduced for Airoverse for Facilities and Occupant app to make the applications more user friendly and secure. The implementation of biometric logins helps the user to avoid frequent logouts and further enables easy access to Airoverse applications.

The advantages of implementing biometric login include:

(a) No Password Complexity: Biometrics reduces the complexity of dealing with passwords and remembering them every time a user has to login to the application. It also helps in reducing the tedious process of resetting and generating passwords through email and PIN at multiple instances.

(b) Enhanced Security: Biometrics provides enhanced security through fingerprint impressions.

(c) Better User Experience: Provides hassle free access to the application thus creating a better user experience.

| Enable Biometrics for Airoverse for Facilities App

Steps
Open the Airoverse for Facilities app
Enter the Email ID
Enter the password.
Login to the Airoverse for Facilities application
Select the Hamburger menu from the top.
The settings page is displayed.
Select the "Enable Biometric Authentication" option from the settings menu.
A Confirmation message is displayed.
Select Confirm to confirm the changes.
Biometric authentication is successfully enabled on the Airoverse for Facilities app.
If Biometric setup is not enabled on the device, then the user will receive the following error message.
If the device is not compatible with biometric authentication, then the user will receive the following error message.

| Disable Biometrics for Airoverse for Facilities app

Steps
Open the Airoverse for Facilities app.
Enter the Email ID
Enter the password.
Login to the Airoverse for Facilities application
Select the Hamburger menu from the top.
The settings page is displayed.
Disable the Biometric Authentication from the settings menu.
Biometric authentication is successfully disabled on the Airoverse for Facilities app.

| Enable Biometrics for Occupant App

Steps
Open the Occupant app
Enter the Email ID
Enter the password.
Login to the Occupant application
Select the 3-dot menu from the top.
The Settings page is displayed.
Select the "Enable Biometric Unlock" option from the settings menu.
A Confirmation message is displayed.
Select Confirm to confirm the changes.
Biometric authentication is successfully enabled on the Occupant app.

| Disable Biometrics for Occupant app

Steps
Open the Occupant app
Enter the Email ID
Enter the password.
Login to the Occupant application
Select the 3-dot menu from the top.
The Settings page is displayed.
Select the "Disable Biometric Unlock" option from the settings menu.
A confirmation message is displayed.
Select Confirm to confirm the changes.
Biometric authentication is successfully disabled on the Occupant app.

| Points to Consider

• Biometric login keeps the user's session active for 60 minutes.
• If the user closes the app, they're automatically logged out. They can log in again using biometrics.
• If the app is active in the background for less than 60 minutes, the session stays active.
• If the app is inactive for over 60 minutes, the user gets logged out automatically,
• Without biometrics or on unsupported devices, the session lasts 5 days regardless of app usage.
